Medical equipment cleaning and disinfection

Dental materials that adhere to dental instruments, such as filling materials or acid cement removers, must be removed directly after use, otherwise there is a risk of hardening or corrosion.

Selection of cleaning and disinfecting water:

Choose appropriate water quality carefully;

Alkaline water may attack aluminum;

Chloride causes pitting corrosion of equipment;

Water-containing materials, such as silicic acid, may cause discoloration of the device;

Final rinse using fully deionized water

Accurate action in advance, continuous cleaning, store in a dry space or cabinet, the room temperature should be room temperature, when the temperature drops, the plastic packaging will produce condensate and cause rust, can not be placed with chemical agents

The insertion part of the flexible endoscope must be wiped with a lint-free towel immediately after use. The towel must be dipped in cleaning fluid or cleaning disinfectant without protein fixation. In order to prevent clogging, other pipes must be washed with the same solution. Rinse the air and water pipes with the water in the rinse bottle.

To avoid damage during cleaning and disinfection, it should be placed on a suitable shelf or bracket

Store in the original packaging in a cool, dark and dry place; the functional components of the breathing device contain valves or diaphragms, which may stick together for a long time. Check and test before use; split according to the manufacturer's instructions for disinfection For cleaning, the cone, sealing surface, threaded connection and valve disc must be well protected

Prevent mechanical damage. Respiratory calcium deposits must be completely removed from the absorber before cleaning and disinfection treatment.

Sensors can only be handled according to the manufacturer's instructions.

When using wet processing, flexible instruments with sealable cavities must be sealed (such as rubber

Leather tube, or various masks).

After use, disassemble according to the manufacturer's instructions. Simple tools-such as electric drills or saw blades-if they are reusable medical products, treat them as surgical instruments.

The detachable minimally invasive surgical instruments, endoscopes and high-frequency instruments must be separated according to the manufacturer's instructions before cleaning and disinfection. Please put the lens in a special container. Disposable components must be discarded according to regulations. The dried-up residues in the instrument seriously hinder the function of the surgical endoscope, so it must be handled immediately after the instrument is used. For high-frequency devices, it is recommended to pre-treat with 3% hydrogen peroxide solution to remove condensed residues.

The pretreatment of the handles and wires used for high-frequency instruments is the same as surgical instruments.

Violating the operation regulations may damage the instrument. To prevent damage, it must be placed according to the regulations after use

Wet waste disposal method: First put the device into a solution mixed with detergent and disinfectant, this solution must not have protein fixation. Acetaldehyde disinfectant is not suitable because it has a fixing effect;

Note: No matter which cleaning and disinfection reprocessing method is used, long-term waiting should be avoided, otherwise it may cause rust, and the longest waiting time in dry processing method should not exceed 6 hours

Instruments can be rinsed on racks suitable for mechanical storage (such as filter trays). For effective cleaning, the articulated instruments (scissors, clips, surgical forceps) must be open to reduce the overlapping area. The filter trays, brackets, cushions, supports, etc. used must be the same, so that in the subsequent cleaning process in the ultrasonic bath or in the cleaning equipment and disinfection equipment, there will be no places that cannot be rinsed due to overlap.
